Hemp Oil Lotions Recipes at Home: DIY Project!

Hemp oil is a powerful natural moisturizer that can be used for skin and hair. It’s effective at keeping your skin hydrated, thanks to the essential fatty acid (EFA) content it contains. CBD body lotion is a great investment and is worth checking out.

Hemp Oil Lotions:

Hemp oil lotion is made by mixing hemp seed oil with water, essential oils, emulsifiers, and other ingredients. When combined properly, all of these elements work together to give you a moisturizing lotion that will help your skin stay healthy and smooth all day long.

If you want to make homemade lotions with hemp oil, here are a few recipes that will help you get started. In addition, there’s one for dry skin and another option for those who want something more basic.

Three homemade hemp oil lotion recipes:

1. Hemp oil with lavender, rosemary & frankincense

– ½ cup hemp seed oil

– ¼ cup aloe vera gel

– 15 drops lavender, rosemary, and frankincense essential oils (EO)

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl. Shake well before each use.

Lavender, rosemary, and frankincense are all known for their anti-inflammatory properties, which is great news if you have sensitive skin that’s prone to irritation or redness. They also work together to help the lotion penetrate deep into your pores so it can moisturize more effectively.

Note: If you’d prefer a thicker lotion, add in some beeswax or shea butter. And if your main concern is to get rid of stretch marks, feel free to leave out the aloe vera gel and use just hemp oil and essential oils.

2. Shea butter hemp oil

– ½ cup shea butter (unrefined and organic)

– ¼ cup jojoba oils

– 15 drops lavender EO or grapefruit seed extract (GSE) essential oil. GSE may be used as a preservative and won’t need to be diluted with water.

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl. Shake well before each use.

Shea butter is an incredibly nourishing moisturizer that’s also known for its anti-inflammatory properties. Jojoba oil can help balance your skin’s natural oils and work as a strong emollient, which means it will lock in moisture and prevent water loss. Grapefruit seed extract (GSE) is a natural preservative that won’t irritate your skin like chemical ingredients in most lotions.

3. Hemp oil  with lavender, frankincense & sandalwood

– ½ cup hemp seed oil

– ¼ cup aloe vera gel or jojoba oil

– 15 drops each of lavender and frankincense essential oils (EO) and sandalwood EO. If you want a stronger scent, add in 20 to 25 drops of sandalwood EO.

Combine all of the ingredients in a medium bowl. Shake well before each use.

Lavender, frankincense, and sandalwood are highly recommended for this recipe because they’re known to soothe skin irritation while also stimulating healthy cell function. As a result, they can help reduce redness, itching, and inflammation. They can also help balance your skin’s natural oils, so you get the most out of your moisturizer.

Remember: The recipes above are just suggestions. If there is an essential oil that you don’t like, feel free to leave it out or replace it with something else more suitable for you.
